about
"In the midwest it's like- you reach your arm out far enough and you will grab ahold of Vicodin. It's the same with corn."
lyrics
It's time to set myself into a daze.
Fall back into habits i can’t break.
Cadence of pressures monotone,
but the grip lets go
when your blood’s hydrocodone.
My bloods fucked up.
my guts, fucked up,
and my head's fucked up,
but god, i gotta be fucked up.
something's telling me to blank again.
that pains intense.
filling voids up with voids again.
keeps the paranoid at bay, i guess.
i'm letting time and money go to waste again.
I wish i haven’t been,
but here i am again,
so pull me in.
I’m gonna set myself into a daze again
fall back into habits i can’t break,
now what then?
I keep getting caught in fires i stoked
but the burns go cold
when your blood’s hydrocodone.
My bloods fucked up.
my guts, fucked up,
and my head's fucked up,
but god, i gotta be fucked up.
But the words come home
when you're blood's hydrocodone.
My bloods fucked up.
my guts, fucked up,
and my head's fucked up,
but god, i gotta be fucked up.

I'm re-reading homestuck again, like a sane person, and just went on a spiral wailing to myself (lovingly) about all the beautiful art that came out of this fandom in its prime, some of which is just as integral to my love of this ridiculous webcomic as the thing itself. Haven't bit the bullet to buy the OSTs on bandcamp yet but this album deserves it. I'm very normal about things I loved when I was 14 and continue to love, I promise big suit david byrne
A lovely album that, like “Songs for Sad Trolls”, keenly reflects the emotions and experiences of various Homestuck characters.
“Fool” is equal parts gloomy, angry, romantic, and sorrowful. I’ve cried while listening to its heartbreaking lyrics and emotional sound. --N--
