lyrics
I'll come back to life when the sun kicks in.
And i'll wipe my eyes where the dark has been.
And i'll throw off the aches and pains that kept me pinned
until it's over,
until i'm headed back to fine again.
Stabs hurt harder than words – sometimes.
I try to keep that in mind.
The pen is sharper than the words it writes,
and the marks they leave fade in half as much time.
Let's drift away, and back, away, and back again.
I've only lost enough just to hold on.
I might look forward to relief but not the end.
I've missed enough, just not all that went wrong.
But earth to god, we're running out of sun.
And it's far too long a trip back to square one.
I'm pulling out of the dive I took.
I'm unfamiliar, so tell me where to look.
I'm hanging off the wall on it's weakest hook
until someone dares to tell me i've done good.
The lack of words can clear your vision.
Apologies are too farfetched to try, but listen,
so far, i’m broken, that’s a given.
but i'm not the only one who's lost my mind.
I'll pay through blood and sweat and tears much more than time somehow.
Rest assured i've done my best to clear the haze.
I'm only as upright as me fuel supplies allow.
My blinds are shut since i've seen better days.
But, earth to god, i'm asking you again,
could you turn the lights back on inside my head?
I’m pulling out of the dive I took.
I’m unfamiliar, so tell me where to look.
I’ll be straightening my hopes out under stacks of unused books
until my fever-dreams are understood.
I'll come back to life when the sun kicks in.
And i'll wipe my eyes where the dark has been.
And i'll throw off the aches and pains that kept me pinned.
So let's start over,
until i'm headed back to fine again.

A lovely album that, like “Songs for Sad Trolls”, keenly reflects the emotions and experiences of various Homestuck characters.
“Fool” is equal parts gloomy, angry, romantic, and sorrowful. I’ve cried while listening to its heartbreaking lyrics and emotional sound. --N--

I'm re-reading homestuck again, like a sane person, and just went on a spiral wailing to myself (lovingly) about all the beautiful art that came out of this fandom in its prime, some of which is just as integral to my love of this ridiculous webcomic as the thing itself. Haven't bit the bullet to buy the OSTs on bandcamp yet but this album deserves it. I'm very normal about things I loved when I was 14 and continue to love, I promise big suit david byrne
New York duo showcase an enigmatic blend of math rock guitars, pop-punk sing-a-longs, emo confessionals, and even rave-ready synths. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 15, 2023
Bouncy, jangly power pop with a slash of acidic shadow, as the very best twee always has. From Boston, they met at band camp (not Bandcamp). Bandcamp New & Notable Jul 2, 2019
